Micol is a PhD student in Sociology and Demography at the University of Oxford and the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research. In March 2024 she joined Prof. Dr. Per Block's team as a research assistant.

Every semester, our Department hosts a series of public talks (colloquiums) on the topic of «Current Sociological Research (CSR)» with local researchers and invited guest speakers. While these talks are mandatory for our Master's degree students, any interested members of the general public are welcome to assist - no registration needed. 

We are excited to announce that Dr. Simon Walo has been awarded the Sage Prize for Innovation and Excellence for his recently published paper «‹Bullshit› After All? Why People Consider Their Jobs Socially Useless».
